After getting settled we headed out for lunch. Today we we to an English place called the Moose and Roo Pub. I had a bacon cheeseburger which was delicious and a good reminder of home.
After lunch we went back to the hotel to rest and watch tv. Today was a rest day since we had already done most of the things we wanted to do in Hanoi. Since we had a late lunch we went out to dinner at a place called Bun Bo Nam Bo. Like most of the shops in the old quarter it was very skinny and long, almost like a long hallway. When we arrived they didn't give us a menu instead the waitress asked "how many". At first we we're confused about when we should order however after a couple minutes we were handed a big bowl of Bum Bo. This turned out to be one of the only things they served which is why we weren't offered a menu. The food was awesome! We were the only white people there and the place was packed with tons of local Vietnamese so we figured the place must be good.
After the restaurant we walked back to our hotel through the "bar street" which was literally one block filled only with bars. Everyone was packed in the street sitting on there little plastic chairs. It was pretty small but very cool (Hanoi isn't know for it's nightlife).
